The leaders of the mythical world. The council is made up of one of each of the thirteen prominent species. Before their time, the species fought one another in terrible territorial battles no different than the magical creatures that now occupy the land. However, with the advancement of mortals, the mythical community faced a growing threat they couldn't possibly tackle among themselves. Around this time, a great prophecy was foretold that rocked each of the species to their core. It was in the moment that they decided to form the first council and unite their races together into a single community. The Council of the Thirteen are the ones who bring order to the mythical realm. Their will is law. *This position cannot be RPed without admin permission*

If the Council of the Thirteen represent the will of the mythical community, then Vindicators are the force that exerts said will. Vindicators are highly trained combatants that answer directly to the council. They are feared by those who see them, and are often thought to be omens of death as their appearance normally indicates trouble. Those who choose the path of Vindicator do so for life, which stretches past normal means of death, as they are said to be unkillable. Those who have attracted the wrath of a Vindicator will end in their death, as the vindicator will not stop until their mission is complete. *This position cannot be RPed without admin permission*

Pinegrove Academy is a prestigious place to teach, as it is one of the only schools for the mythical in the world. The unique attribute of the school is the open enrollment for all species, which extends to staff members as well. This opens up the possibly for all sorts of different teaching methods to be introduced to the students who attend. Those who take up a professorship at Pinegrove often find themselves in high standing with the mythical community overall. *This position cannot be RPed without admin permission*

Enforcers are the general police force of the mythical world. They patrol mythical areas and have their own departments depending on the region. Each department has a head enforcer in charge who answers to the Council if need be. Those in this profession are normally skilled combatants who help track down petty criminals, engage in conflicts, and promote order among mythical factions.

Reclaimers are similar to detectives, but for magical items. Their job consists of tracking down unassigned major artifacts, as well as abused minor artifacts. Along with this, they are responsible for making sure magical items and trinkets that are created are accounted for, so they don't fall into mortal hands. Once they have confiscated artifacts, they take them to the Hall of Mythics to be either stored or destroyed.

Mindflayers are tasked with keeping the mythical world secret from mortal minds. Their position leads them to incidents of exposure where they find mortal witnesses and tamper with their memories to replace mythical ones with normal ones. Those of the magician species utilize Modify Memory. For those belonging to different species, a minor trinket is utilized. A small lighter whose flame causes memory loss of the last 24 hours when stared at. Occasionally, mindflayers are called in to wipe memories from mythics who have learned a secret that should not hold.

Magizoologists are the ones responsible for gathering all the information that mythical world has about magical creatures. They are known to track and learn about the species, as well as occasionally take care of them if they are injured. Their job can be quite dangerous due to the nature of the creatures they are studying, but the benefit of their work makes them invaluable to the future of both the lives of mythics and the lives of magical creatures.

Monster Hunters fall under the same department as the Magizoologists. Their job is to deal with stray creatures who have become a threat to human or mythical civilizations. As many creatures are quite deadly, it is imperative to have those specifically designed to combat them. They are assigned to an investigation where they see if they can possibly relocate the creature or scare it off the grounds it is inhabiting, but in some cases the only action left is to slay the beast. Monster Hunters have the unique authority to actively seek out and slay magical creatures if deemed necessary.

Artificers are tinkerers and inventors in the mythical world. They are responsible for making the trinkets that have become widespread, but their more important task is their relationship with the Council. Artificers are selected to create the weapons, armor, and equipment that the various positions use. Due to the nature of the job, the vast majority of Artificers are Alchemists.

Healers are an essential part of the mythical community. They are responsible for mending injuries and curing disease in the mythical world. While many Cheraphilim take this path, it is not unheard of for other races to become Healers as well. The main difference between a Cheraphilim's healing and healing of a Healer is the method. Healers utilize their unique arsenal of potions to get the job done. Their healing normally takes longer than Cheraphilim's healing, but it is more sturdy. If a Cheraphilim heals a broken bone, it is fragile for a few days after and injuring it again will result in a worse break. The potions healers use take longer to heal the broken bone, but when it does heal, it does so back to full strength.

Potioneers are those who have committed themselves to brewing the stockpile of potions that the mythical world needs access to. Whether that's Wolfsbane or the potions utilized by healers, it comes through skilled potioneers. As such they often spend their time gathering the resources required to make their brews, or tending to a private garden which grows the ingredients they need access to.

Those who seek knowledge above all else often find themselves in this position. Curators are responsible for recording the history, events, and information of the mythical world. This may include traveling the world to find more knowledge yet uncovered, or joining the Grand Library at the Hall of Mythics to tend to the knowledge already gathered. Magicians often pursue this path due to their understanding of arcana, but it is not uncommon to see other species seek this out.

Cerberus' are not directly employed by the mythical government. They are bounty hunters that often seek out dangerous criminals with bounties on their heads. Most bounties are to be taken alive, but in rare circumstances, some will take either. Because they rid society of the lowlifes that prey on it, they often are seen as guard dogs keeping back the scum, hence their namesake.

Duelists are oftentimes treated as celebrities in the mythical world. They are the equivalent of athletes, and even have trading cards based on them if they become famous enough. They compete in the Gauntlet, which is a gladiatorial arena where mythics go head to head against one another, or team up against a common task. It is a spectator sport, but it can be dangerous and while deaths are rare due to Healers being at the ready, they still can occur.

Fledgling Interventionists are a more recent position. They are employed by Council to keep track of fledglings and potential fledglings. Their job consists of helping those without mythical backgrounds to the mythical world when they come of age and start getting their abilities. They also work to prevent abuse of fledglings and they sometimes work with mindflayers to undo any slip ups fledglings may have whilst trying to gain control of their abilities.

Soothsayers are the ones responsible for cataloging and recording important prophecies given by Liches and Banshees. As such, the majority of soothsayers belong to both the races respectively. Skilled soothsayers often times create most of the prophecies recorded, and are often consulted by the Council for advice should it be required before making an important decision. As such, soothsayers are often held to high regards by people who understand their value, and low regards by those who don't.
