BANSHEE GUIDELINES

I. Fledgling Banshees

Female-Only species
Prestidigitation: A general purpose spell that lasts one hour which is used with simple hand movement to accomplish a variety of small tasks such as:
Creating an illusion object that can fit in the caster's hand
Creating or dismissing a small tuft of fire such as a match or fireplace
Creating a small light to float above the caster much like a lantern
Unlocking a non-magic mechanical lock on a door or object
Changing the color or design of an object
Creating a harmless sensory effect such as an odd odor, sparks, or a musical note

[li]Spectral Bindings: A necromancy spell that can only be cast by draining the environment of some life force (killing vegetation around them), or cutting their palm. When cast, it will summon four spectral hands that will grasp one target's wrists and ankles to hold them in place. It can only hold with the force of 0.5 tons, and must be constantly focused on to remain active. Note: This spell cannot be used while in wraith form.

[li]Withering Ray: A necromancy spell that can only be cast by draining the environment of some life force (killing vegetation around them), or cutting their palm. When cast, it will weaken those it is cast on to lose strength. It can only be used on one target at a time and if it by the ray, it will drain them of 0.5 tons of their strength. This will persist for 10 minutes before needing to be recast. If the target has no supernatural strength, they are immune to this spell. Note: This spell cannot be used while in wraith form.[/li]
[li]Wound Transference: A necromancy spell that can only be cast by draining the environment of some life force (killing vegetation around them), or cutting their palm. When cast, the user must place their hand on the wounded target. They can then transfer the target's wounds onto their own body. How much they transfer depends on how long contact is made for, but they must be careful not to transfer too much or they could die from the wounds. Note: This spell cannot be used while in wraith form.[/li]
[li]Able to perform a Banshee Wail which sends a scream out like a concussive attack that can knock opponents back and hurt their ears.[/li]

Especially effective against Vampires and Werewolves

[li]Capable of having short glimpses of the future[/li]
[li]Able to see a person's aura naturally. Each person's aura will be unique to them, and the colors of the aura can tell general characteristics of said person.[/li]
[li]Can turn into their Wraith Form which gives them extra durability (0.5 ton) and the ability to phase through solid objects. While in this form they give off a cold aura which can cause water to freeze around them. This form can only be maintained once a day for a maximum of 20 minutes.[/li]
[li]Banshees do not require food or drink to live, though they can still enjoy the taste. Instead, Banshees survive by absorbing the life force of vegetation and animals; essentially taking the living things remaining life to add to their own.

This allows Banshees to live beyond normal human years, though it does not give them immortality.

[li]Being connected to both life and death, and due to their previous spellcaster capabilities, Banshees are able to do a form of necromancy.[/li]

When in an area that would realistically hold something undead (cemetery, forest, etc.), a banshee can raise their hands which will glow a dark purple to summon up to one undead being from across the grave to protect and assist them.
The summoned undead being will have enhanced durability and strength (0.5 ton)
